Thread: TI-89 Graphing Function - Dimension Error?

Hello,

I am trying to get the graphing function of the TI-89 Titanium working, but am having trouble.

I have the following settings just to try and get the graphing function to work.

Y1=5

Xmin= -10
Xmax= 10
Xscl = 1
Ymin = -10
Ymax = 10
Yscl = 1

When I go to graph, I get an ERROR: Dimension message and the only option is ESC-Cancel.

Can anybody please help me?

I graphed it using the given viewing window and function, and it generated the graph for me.

Just double check that one of your dimension values aren't negative.

Otherwise, I'm not sure what else to say. If you can put up a screen capture of what you have inputted, it would be great. Maybe then we can spot the tiny mistake.

It worked for me. It's a straight line, y = 5. Check that plot 1, Plot 2, and plot 3 are turned off and also go to STAT, ClrList and clear L1, L2, L3 etc, if there is any information. You should also possibly clear all drawings you had before hand

That seems to have fixed it - I cleared the lists in the statistics part of it, and I also selected PlotsOff from the stat menu - it appears that I left it on from a previous class and that was throwing everything off.
