Use of TI-83 Plus
OK - I'm an older student. In class Mon. the instructor showed us how to use the TI-83 to find the factors of a number - I've been trying for over an hour to remember it and I can't. Can anyone tell me what buttons to push...say I wanted to find all the factors of 360.

Thank you in advance.(Nerd)

On the TI-89, you can just do "factor(n)" to get the prime factors. For example,

Code:

factor(360)
gives

$2^3\cdot3^2\cdot5$

But I'm not aware of any similar function on the 83. You could, however, very easily write a program to do such a thing.
