I've used the TI-83, TI-84, and TI-82 before in my Math classes or on tests, and I currently only have a TI-82 which was handed down to me from my Mom. We used to have a TI-83, but we lost it during a recent move.

I'm low on cash, so I've been getting by with the TI-82 in class so far. It seems to be capable of almost everything the TI-83 can do. In a small number of cases, it seems to be missing a few automated functions that streamline operations, but those automated functions aren't even used by my teacher in class thus far.

Would I be correct in assuming I can probably get by in a College Algebra class with a TI-82? My teacher says that I can use any calculator I want, but that I'm responsible for learning how to use it myself if there are differences from the TI-83/TI-84 series.
