Thread: Synthetic division on ti-nspire cas

Im trying to do synthetic division on the calc and as per the calc notes i have to type "syndiv" and the function to get results.

I type as is indicated, which is,

Syndiv (6,-16,17-6),-2)

And im not getting the right ans. what am i doing wrong?

The actual problem is, (6x³-16x²​+17x-6)/(x-2)

I believe your last digit should be 2 instead of -2.

Very odd, when i do syndiv (3x³+7x²-x+26)/(x-3) i get the correct ans, but when i do syndiv (6x³+7x²-x+26)/(x-3) i dont get the correct ans....any clue?
