I have a Ti-83 that starts up but the screen is messed up when I turn it on- can I repair it somehow? thanks!

well the screen only shows lines and boxes- I guess I could send it back to TI
probably cheaper to buy a new 84 than repair an older 83 ... calculators these days are pretty much considered "consumable" items.
so the Ti85 will do all the graphing and stuff I need for science/engineering classes?

maybe I could just unscrew the screen and fix it?
