1. ## TI 89 Matrix Help

Hello Everyone,

I have a question in regards to figuring out solutions on the ti-89. Here is the example I was given. (I don't know how to do all the subscripts just yet, so hopefully you can all understand)

2x1 + 3x2 = H
4x1 + 6x2 = 7

Is there a way to put this in matrix form and get an answer for H??

Here is a bit more to the question,

Determine the value(s) of H such that the matrix is the augmented matrix of a consistent linear system

Moderator edit: Moved from another subforum, tidied up, posts merged.

What is 2x1? Is that column vector because you can't add matrices of different dimenisons.

3. yes it is. I still haven't figured out the subscripts with all this computer technology, and if there are shortcuts, or if its in the characters to choose from. I'll figure it out one day.

You can't add a 2 by 1 and 3 by 2.

5. let me see if I can figure these characters out. Then I will try and post everything again

It would be easier if you just posted the question.
