    Maturity value question

    How do you get from ( 1 + i ) ^ n = Fv / Pv

    to i = sqrt n Fv / Pv - 1 = ( FV / PV ) 1/n - 1

    Two steps: From your original equation, (1) take the nth rooth of both sides; then (2) deduct 1 from both sides.
