Econ Related - Marginal Cost and Average Cost
Hello everyone,

I am struggling mightily with how find MC and AC from this equation TC = 35 + 5Q – 2Q^2 + 2Q^3

I've emailed my professor, and poured over difference youtube videos and online forums, but i still don't understand how solve this equation (Doh)

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Re: Econ Related - Marginal Cost and Average Cost
To get the average cost, divide the total cost by the number of units produced.
$AC = \frac{TC}{Q} = \frac{35 + 5Q - 2Q^2 + 2Q^3}{Q}$

To get the marginal cost, differentiate the total cost.
$AC = \frac{d(TC)}{dQ} = 5-10Q+6Q^2$
