    Multivariate Taylor Series

Find the linear and the quadratic approximations to the function f(x1,x2)= e^ax1-bx2 around the point (0, 0).

Anyone know how to answer this?

    Cheers

    Re: Multivariate Taylor Series

    Hey AEJD90.

Hint: What is the taylor expansion around a point for a 2-variable input function? (It will involve df/dx1, df/dx2, d^2f/dx1dx2, d^2f/dx1^2 and d^2f/dx2^2).
