Thread: Alternative Break Even Calculator help

Hello all

The Alternative Break Even Calculator is listed at the bottom of the page - Break-Even Analysis.

I'm getting an impossible error when I enter the following variables :

Interest Rate or Taxes :0.12 (12%)
Total Fixed Costs : $225000
Variable Cost per Unit : $0.80
Selling Price per Unit : $1.87

What will the number of breakeven units be? I have a feeling something is wrong about the calculator but I dont know the formula either. So any help would be greatly appreciated!

You get "impossible" if any interest rate is entered...
