Need a Master's Thesis Topic - Want it to be Applicable to Finance
So I'm a senior undergraduate but I'm also getting a Master's and consequently need to write a Master's Thesis, but I'm having trouble coming up with a topic. I'm working in finance last year and want to do it on something that can be applied to that area. Trading is the first area of finance that comes to mind in terms of what specifically it can be applied to, but other areas would be fine as well.
I have a decent understanding of Probability, Analysis and Topology (I've taken first year of graduate school type classes for all of them) and a bit more knowledge of Algebra, though I doubt that will be useful for this.
Any ideas for a specific topic would be greatly appreciated.

Have you looked at the departmental notice board, there are usually topic lists or requests there from the academic staff for thesis problems.
