You must have met these: $\displaystyle I = \left( \begin{array}{cc} 1 & 0 \\ 0 & 1 \end{array} \right)$ and $\displaystyle 0 = \left( \begin{array}{cc} 0 & 0 \\ 0 & 0 \end{array} \right)$
