(3x-4)-(5x-8)=-(x+12)-6+1 i've worked it out mult. ways and i keep getting stuck. please if i can have some guidence one how to start it, to make sure i'm on the right track. my last answer left me at (-5x+ )(x+ ) ??? any help please!!!

Maybe the reason that you are getting stuck is because you don't have to factor at all. By the way, you should post these types of problems in the pre-algebra algebra sub-forum
