    Solve

    I just need alittle boost in the right direction for this one. No answer just alittle help of the steps please

    Solve 8/v =(9/v) - (1/2)
    I am lost as to what to do next.

    \frac{8}{v}=\frac{9}{v}-\frac{1}{2}

    \frac{1}{2}=\frac{9}{v}-\frac{8}{v}

    \frac{1}{2}=\frac{1}{v}

    Another way (and in my opinion slightly easier):
    from \frac{8}{v}= \frac{9}{v}- \frac{1}{2}, multiply on both sides by 2v to get rid of the fractions.
