    Absolute Value Expression

    I am studying for a placement test and this seemingly easy Algebra problem has me confused:

    Solve:

    |x-3|+|x+4| when x<-4

    This isn't a system of equations, or a graph, but a problem needing to be simplified.

    I got the answer -2x-1.

    Is that correct?
