The minimum daily values (MDVs) for certain foods are given. They based on a
2,000 calorie per day diet. Find decimal and fractional notation for the percent
    notation in each sentence.

    (a) 1 ounce of Tostitos provides 9% of the MDV of fat.

    (b) 1/2 cup of Campbell’s New England claim chowder provides 6% of the
    MDV of iron.

    Hello,

I'm not quite certain that I understand your problem correctly, but maybe you mean this(?):

    to a)
    9\%=\frac{9}{100}=0.09

    to b)
    6 \%=\frac{6}{100}=\frac{3}{50}=0.06
