    Red face Solving quadratic equations by factoring

    I am trying to figure out how to solve this equation by factoring. Can you please help me? Thanks:confused

    x2-6x+8=0 I guess this means the same as x squared-6x+8=0?

    (x-4)(x-2)=0
    x-4=0
    x-2=0
    Thus,
    x=4
    x=2
