I know there is only one answer to this logarithm, but I am getting two answers because I am not sure which step to do first. I will find out what mistake I am making once I which answer is correct. So, here are my two answers for the following logarithm.

Simplify.

Either 1.82 or 3.29

I don't know which calculator you use, but to get the value of this quotient you must put the numerator into brackets:

x = (ln(200) - 2*ln(4))/(ln(4)) = (ln(200) - ln(16))/(ln(4)) = ln(200)/ln(4) - 2

It doesn't matter which term you use to calculate the value of x. In all three cases you'll get the same value.
