The following pair of equations came with the instruction:
Solve by graphing.
2x+y=5
3x-y=10
I have solved questions like this before, however, this one proved rather hard so I put it into microsoft math and came out with these coordinates for the equations:
2x+y=5
(2,1) (4,-3)
3x-y=10
(1,-7) (2,-4)
I tried to work it out like this:
If 2x+y=5 then
y=5-2x
If:
x=0 y=5
x=1 y=3
x=2 y=1
x=3 y=-1
---------
If 3x-y=10 then
y=10-3x
If:
x=0 y=10
x=1 y=7
x=2 y=4
x=3 y=1
Is my working correct?
I think it is, but it never hurts to make sure.
Thanks in advance for your help!
