    Smile Story proportion problem

    Calories burn in 1 hr= 740

So if a person jogs at a rate of 5 1/2 mi/h for 3 1/2 hour in a week, how many calories do they burn?

I think the answer is 2,590 calories but how do you show it in an equation with fraction?

I'm not sure what you mean by an "equation with fraction."

You know that in 1 hour the person burns 740 Cal. So in 3.5 hr they would burn 3.5 * 740 = 2590 Cal, as you had guessed.
