    Ex.

    Replace y in the second equation:

    2x+3=-\frac{1}{2}x-1\Rightarrow 2x+\frac{1}{2}x=-4\Rightarrow\frac{5}{2}x=-4\Rightarrow x=-4\cdot\frac{2}{5}=-\frac{8}{5}

    Now find y.

    The intersection of two lines = the system's solutions.

    Use any of the methods to solve a system of equations.
