Divide the given area into rectangles of known side lengths. Calculate the area of each rectangle. Add up these areas to get the total area.

A follow-up question on the matter: is it possible to somehow reach a definite "smallest number of rectangles needed" ? Just out of the top of my head, I can't find a solution with less than 3 rectangles
