25 x 40 metres = 1000 square metres

1000 square metres = $140

1 square metre = $0.14 same answer as you (Nod)

1 metre of carpet with width 18 m = 18 square metres

18 x $0.14 = $2.52 same answer as you (Happy)

I believe your working to be correct - Jul 20th 2009, 10:30 AMearboth
I don't know where you live but in Germany there isn't a bed-

**room**of 1000 mē (nearly 2 tennis courts).

Could it be that there are some decimal points missing and the bed-room has the demensions $\displaystyle 2.5\ m \times 4.0\ m$. In this case you don't need a compass to find your bed. - Jul 20th 2009, 11:38 PMthereddevils
