What's this? I've never encountered it before

3. Link is broken (needs the closed-parenthesis -- probably the forum's fault).

I remember Logo when I was in elementary school, with the turtle graphics. It was my first exposure to any computer language, or computers in general, for that matter. Ah, good times...

4. So, how on earth are they worked?

5. Code:
repeat ___ [fd ___ rt 90 fd ___ rt ___]
(1) (2) (3) (4)
(2) The "fd ___" command means that the turtle is to move forward ___ units. The turtle is facing northward. You want the turtle to go from A to B. How many units should it go? (The problem tells you.)

"rt 90" tells the turtle to turn 90 degrees to the right.

(3) Then you have another "fd ___" command. This will take the turtle from B to C. How many units should it go? (The problem doesn't explicitly say so, but the info about AD is a hint.)

(4) Then you have a "rt ___" command. You should know by now what to fill in that blank.

(1) Finally, there is the repeat command in the front. How many sides of the rectangle are drawn after the commands inside the brackets are followed? How many times should this set of commands be repeated until you get the full rectangle? That number is what you should fill in the blank after "repeat."
