Thread: On-Line Algebra Homework Help Websites...

Hi there -

I'm the new kid on the block here, and need some help. LOTS of help!!! I'm taking an algebra class this summer, therefore 16 weeks are being condensed into 8 weeks...and I'm LOST!!! Does anyone know if there are any FREE on-line websites that I would be able to type in a multiple number of questions from my homework to get the help, rather than coming on this forum and typing one at a time? Time is of the essense and desperately need help like you wouldn't believe! I'm just not getting this algebra stuff...and I'm going to school for accounting. I get numbers no problem, but this whole x to the 2nd power minus xyz, or y=mxb, etc. I'm so frustrated !!! And I SOOOO need to pass this course. I'm a single mother who has been doing accounting work for over ten years, got laid off, and can't find a new job without the "associate's degree", not matter HOW many years of experience.

Sorry to rant on and on...just very frustrated...and scared that I won't be able to pass this course.

I think this is the wrong forum...

However, I know of a few websites that deal with solving equations.

Algebrahelp.com I used as a freshman in high school..they had calculators for solving things.

Also there's a tool from the website bagatrix: MyAlgebra - Solve Your Algebra Problems Online

The latter is a little more straightforward with just the answer.

Yahoo! Answers's math section is pretty good though. People always explain and it usually doesn't take that long for your questions to get answered. I'd say it's quite fast here too though.

Well, thank you very much for the information you gave. I seriously appreciate it. However, I would hope that I am still able to stay here on this forum and maybe get used to it...who knows, maybe down the road a bit it will be, not only helpful for me, but I may be able to help someone as well.
