I was wondering if you could help me with a algebraic fraction problem. I do online school, and I'm having difficulty understanding my teachers explanation. Basically he gives partial answers and I need it broken down and explained to me. This is one of the problems...
a^4/ 2a^2-4a^4 times 8a^3+1/ 2a+4a^2
Thank you very much for your time and consideration!!
This problem was one of a bunch that you asked about two weeks ago in this thread: http://www.mathhelpforum.com/math-he...ions-help.html. I remember solving this for you back then.

The type of problems you repeatedly post here indicate that you need to do a lot of in depth review on the fundamentals of factoring and simplifying. The author linked to below is a good teacher. She does an excellent job of "breaking it down and explaining it to you":
Factoring Numbers
Least Common Multiple (LCM) or Greatest Common Factor (GCF)
Simplifying with Parentheses
Polynomial Multiplication
Simple Polynomial Factoring
Simplifying Expressions with Exponents
Polynomial Division
Factoring Quadratics
Special Factoring (Differences of squares, Sums and differences of cubes)
However, it will require effort on your part to review the material and work the examples. You may find it useful to try and work her example before looking at the solution. Then, compare your solution to her's to see how well you did.
