I know that |a| > x ... a>x and a<-x , provided x is a positive number and

|a|<x .... -x<a<x

But how about is the x is a negative number such as :

|a| > -3

|a| < -2

$|a|>-3$ is satisfied for all real numbers $a,$ since for all real numbers $a,$ $|a|\ge0>-3.$

$|a|<-2$ has no solution for any real number $a$ because $|a|$ cannot be negative.
