    absolute value

    I know that |a| > x ... a>x and a<-x , provided x is a positive number and

    |a|<x .... -x<a<x

But how about is the x is a negative number such as :

    |a| > -3

    |a| < -2

    Thanks

    |a|>-3 is satisfied for all real numbers a, since for all real numbers a, |a|\ge0>-3.

    |a|<-2 has no solution for any real number a because |a| cannot be negative.
