    Algebra I dont understand.

    Hey there, just studying for my exam with a few questions and am stumped as to how the left hand side changes the way that it does:

    from this...

    2vdv/(v + 1) = dx

    To this... don't know how this happens...

    2dv - 2dv/(v+1) = dx

    I don't know if im missing something really obvious or what. If you see how please let me know thanks.
