    Expanding

    I need to see if I have this figured right. The problem to solve is: 7p2(4p-5)-(4p-5). I got -112p4-140p3+20p+25

    If this is
    7p^2(4p-5)-(4p-5)
    then you are not solving it you are simplifying it. And, no, it is not correct:
    7p^2(4p-5)-(4p-5) = 28p^3 - 5p^2 - 4p + 5
