    Help with perimeter

    Hello!
    could someone please help me with this question?
    George is making dog leashes out of hemp rope. He Needs 175cm for each leash.He buys the rope in 20m rolls. How many leash can he make from one roll?

    175 cm - 1 leash
    One 20 m roll - ?

    Number of leashes = \frac{20 m}{175 cm}
    = \frac{20*100}{175}
    = 11 leashes

    How does this have anything to do with "perimeter"? Perimeter of what?
