Can anyone help me how to solve this very simple quadratic equation.

i dont knoe what to do with the fractions and how to get a quadratic formula out of this...

1/x = 1/x-5

Nah, you're not dumb ! You need practice, that's all

Note that x cannot be 0 or 5.

Then multiply both sides by x(x-5) :
x-5=x

--> -5=0

so it has no solution.

why did you think it was a quadratic ?
