height/surface/volume ratios
Hope all you experts out there don't mind helping me again. How do I work out the ratio of two heights (4cm and 2cm)? I also need to work out the ratios for surface areas and for volume... Do I find them the same way as finding the height?

Singaporean
the ratio of heights is 2:4 = 1:2
The ratio of the surface area is $2^2$: $4^2$ = 4:16 = 1:4
the ratio for the volume is $2^3$: $4^3$ = 8:64 = 1:8

yea should be correct

When I type in 2^2:4^2 the answer comes up as 256! Am I doing something wrong?

What are you typing it into? 256= (2^2) to the fourth power.
