    can anyone help me this complex number problem?

    Let x = 2e-(p/4)i, y = 3e(p/6)i. Let a + bi = x2 / y3. Find a and b.

    I cannot understand..

    so anyone can show me a full solution?

    so a= -4/27

    b= 0 ?

    Yes, if we have read the question correctly.

    The notation used in both posts is almost impossible to understand.
    Frankly, I simply guessed as to what was meant.
    That guess may not be correct.

    Why not learn some standard ways of putting mathematics onto a webpage?
