    A country centre has found that its population has been decreasing for some time. Various factors have contributed to this, including the decreasing availability of employment. Recent surveys have suggested that the town's population has been decreasing at a rate of 3% every year. At the beginning of 2000, the town's population of 2500 people.

    i) Set up a difference equation to represent this situation, and therefore a model for the decrease in population over time.
