    logarithmic equation

    Is this statement true?

    log (-3)+log (-4)=log 12

    using the log product rule

    log (-3)(-4)=log 12
    log 12=log 12 therefore the statement is true.

    is this right?

    No, the logs of negative numbers are not defined on the real plane.
