Here is a Hint/Clue for you....

Multiply the equaiton by 3^x to get

    (3^x)^2+1(3^x)+56=0

This is quadratic in 3^x so let u=3^x...

    Good luck

I think there may be a typo otherwise it will not have any solutions.

    Maybe

    3^x+1-56(3^{-x})=0

If this is the case use the same hint.
