Thread: What grade will I need on this exam to pass?

So I have a 72% in biology class right now with only the final exam left. The exam is worth 20% of the grade. I'm trying to figure out what I NEED on the exam to pass the course (passing is 60 or higher). So would doing 72 times 4+X divided by 5 give me the answer to that? If so, do I REALLY only need a 12% to pass the course?

If you get a 12% on the exam you will get a 60.

Before you start thinking that you only need to get 12% you should check the fine print - most courses I've met require that you actually get a pass mark in the exam.
