    solution using three variables

    what is the answer to n=m+x I need to know what the value of m is.

    If I had known how to work a problem I would not have come on this forum to ask how it was done. I do not appreciate being called stupid. The only stupid question is one that is not asked.

    No-one has called you stupid.

    You asked to know what m is. The only way you can find a value of m is if you're given values of n and x.

    And once you have the values of n and x, then you work out m as I have described.
