Math Help - factoring help!!

    factoring help!!

    hey guys,
    i am soo stuck on factoring problems....

    x^2 -xy -x+y =

    it equals (x-y) (x-1)
    i keep getting (x+y)(x-1)

    and here is another one

    1-x -x^2 + x^3 =

    and that equals (1-x)^2 (1+x)
    i dont understand how to do ths probelm

    can some1 plz explain how to do these
