    Polynomial question

    Hi
    if
    4x^10 -x^9 -3x^8 +5x^7 + kx^6 + 2x^5 - x^3 - kx^2 + 5x -5 when divided by (x+1) leaves a remainer of -14. then the value of K is?

I am doing it by normal division but it is taking me a long time. I think there might be some shorter way to do this. May be some property that I dont know?

    Thanks

    When P(x) is divided by (x - a) the remainder is P(a).
