    solving for variable

    t = 8(p+q) / pq

    Make q the subject of the formula.

    I would like to know how to solve it.

    Strategy:

    - get all terms in q at one side, terms without q at the other site
    - factorise q and divide both sides by its coefficient.

    Here's a start:

    <br />
t = 8\frac{{p + q}}{{pq}} \Leftrightarrow pqt = 8p + 8q \Leftrightarrow pqt - 8q = 8p<br />
