1. ## Algebra + fractions

WOW this forum is great just what ive been looking for.
Ive recently decided to do Electrical Engineering and ive found maths really hard since i have not done any bridging maths to help me with this =(

Anyway to the question, can anyone help me to solve this or direct me to a website that explains how to work with fractions.

$\frac{a^{b}}{a^{c}} = a^{b-c}$
------------------------------------------------------------------
$\sqrt{x}^3 = x^{3/2}$

So $\frac{x^{3/2}}{x^{-2}} = x^{ 3/2- (- 2)} = x^{ 7/2}$

$(x^a)^b = x^{ab}$
