3. Solving... Help on setting up the problems easier to solve....

a) Solve 10^(x^2 /2 +2)=10,000

b) Solve ln(t^2 / 2)=1

2. i think this is what you meant $10 ^\frac {x^2}{2}+2 = 10,000$

$10 ^ \frac {x^2 +4}{2} = 10^4$

so $\frac{ x^2 +4} {2} = 4$

and you can simply solve x from there, which i got as -2 or 2

for the second question

$10^{\frac{x^2}{2} + 2} = 10^4$

... what has to be equal?

b) Solve ln(t^2 / 2)=1

$\ln(e) = 1$, so ... $e = ?$
