    3. Solving... Help on setting up the problems easier to solve....

    a) Solve 10^(x^2 /2 +2)=10,000

    b) Solve ln(t^2 / 2)=1

Any help on any of these problems would be much appreciated... Thank you!!

    i think this is what you meant 10 ^\frac {x^2}{2}+2 = 10,000

     10 ^ \frac {x^2 +4}{2} = 10^4

    so \frac{ x^2 +4} {2} = 4

and you can simply solve x from there, which i got as -2 or 2

    for the second question

... what has to be equal?

    b) Solve ln(t^2 / 2)=1

    \ln(e) = 1, so ... e = ?
