Help solving x*c^(x-1)=d
I've spent all day trying to simplify this equation in terms of x:
x*c^(x-1)=d where c and d are arbitrary constants.
I'm able to reduce it part way, but I can't seem to find a rule by which to separate and combine the x terms. Any input would be much appreciated! http://www.mathhelpforum.com/math-he...c/progress.gif
You can solve it using the Lambert W-function. Search these forums for posts relating to this function and how it's used. Or use Google.
