wot happens when you multiply with a negative number?eg 4x-7=?
We have a convention that:
1) the product of a negative and a negative is positive
and
2) the product of a positive and negative is negative.
These conventions allow arithmetic to be extended consistently to
cover multiplication and division of negative numbers.
In this case:
$\displaystyle
4 \times -7 = - 28
