hi please can someone help me just helping my granddaughter with her homework and I don't understand the following......
Find all the pairs of numbers which add up to 7. Find all the pairs of numbers which add up to 17 What do you notice?

2+5
3+4
=7

1+16
2+15
3+14
4+13
5+12
6+11
7+10
8+9
=17

Not sure what you're supposed to notice apart from that fact that if you look at all the pairs that add up to 7, you get all the numbers leading up to 7. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6.

And if you look at those adding up to 17, you get all the numbers prior to 17. 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11,12,13,14,15,16.
