# Math Help - Complex Rational Expression

1. ## Complex Rational Expression

Guys, I have this bonus for a hw and It's super hard I've tried everything but I don't think my answer is right can you'll help me here it is.
I put in a file because it's hard to type it lol it has alot of trinomials. If you guys can help me and show me how to do it I would appreciate it alot Thanks.

2. The numerator is the denomitador multiplied by -1 or im wrong?

3. All i know is that ur suppose to multiply the LCD into the 4 fractions right?

Yes, and the first thing I would do is factor each of those denominators:
$x^2+ 6x+ 5= (x+ 5)(x+1)$ and $x^2+ 3x- 10= (x+5)(x-2)$, so the LCD is just (x+5)(x+1)(x-2).

5. So after I have all the fractions factor do I multiply by the LCD?

6. I still don't get what you have to do but let $x=x^2+3x-10$ and $y=x^2+6x+5$, then your expression is $\frac{\frac{x}{y}-\frac{y}{x}}{\frac{y}{x}-\frac{x}{y}}=-\frac{\frac{x}{y}-\frac{y}{x}}{\frac{x}{y}-\frac{y}{x}}=-1$.

Sry if it's not what ur looking for.

7. I'm in this part right now

(X+5)(X-2)(X-2) - (X+5)(X+1)(X+1)
-------------------------------------
(X+5)(X+1)(X+1) - (X+5)(X-2)(X-2)

I got the lcd of (x+5)(x+1)(x+2) and I multiply it into every fraction. Than I'm left with that where do I go from there.
