    Factoring cubics

    I think that's what it's called, but, please can someone give me good instructions on how in the world I am supposed to do this problems and problems similar.

    24x^3+18x^2

    Factor out the greatest common factor:

    24x^3+18x^2 = 6x^2(4x+3)
