Thread: Factoring after synthetic division (please help)

how do you factor after doing synthetic division when you answer has a remainder?

the beginning equation was divide x^3+18x^2+95x+150 by x+10 using synthetic division then factor

here is my answer:

x^2+8x-85+(-700/x-10)

your synthetic division must have a mistake ... the remainder when dividing the given cubic polynomial by (x+10) is 0.
