[SOLVED] Quick Help Needed Here ! Ratios and proportions
The task says "Divide a six meters long pole to pieces of the scale 2:3"
I don't get it? How could I count that?

One piece will be 2/5 th of the length of the pole and the other 3/5 th of the length of the pole, the pole is 6 metres.

If you want to do this using only integer multiples of units convert to centimetres.

If you divide the log into (2+3) pieces and afterwards collect two and three pieces you are done.

Therefore the two pieces are $\dfrac65 \cdot 2 = 2.4\ m$ and $\dfrac65 \cdot 3 = 3.6\ m$
